I Am Now A Deviant!

Hey guys, I am now posting stuff on my DeviantArt account, which has thus far been left untouched. I mainly used my account for favouriting awesome artworks, but now feel like posting would be fun. I’ve stuck a few photos up on the site so far. You may remember this one from an earlier post:

The wee hermit crab I met in Whangaparaoa, featured on the post "Holiday Happenings"

I am planning to do some more photography and stick that up on the site, and am also thinking of putting my 2010 art design work up. I did comic book design for my final project, and did various character designs, scene designs, logos, page layouts, final pages, covers, backcovers and other such things – so that should be going up on the site soon.

I’m hoping for a very artistic year this year, what with my short film, blog writing, novel rewriting, photography, art design class and general writing. So if you’re interested in the photography/art design aspect of that creative year, then be sure to ‘watch’ me on DeviantArt, since it’ll all be heading there. And of course I’ll keep you all updated on other art projects, such as my film, via this wee blog.

I am currently editing a wee video together out of the little amount of footage I took during my wee trip to Whangarparaoa a few days ago. Tis going alright at the moment, not sure if it is going to make its way onto YouTube yet. I may end up doing a vlog and just splice this footage into the video when I mention my trip. I’m not sure yet – we shall see what happens. I’m just thinking and writing at the same time at the moment.

Sorry for the short and not-so-interesting blog. But it is currently 4:12AM, so I think I have an excuse for my less than spectacular writing. Although I do usually write better early in the morning… But sleepiness is currently numbing my mind and body, so I think I shall end this post here and head off to Morpheus’ abode.

Thanks for reading guys!

Moving images Project // Hamilton Gardens

This is a video I did for a moving images project for art. Me and my teacher both agreed that the first half is good, but then the suspense that is built leads to an anti-climax during the second half. I was going to do a reshoot to improve the second half, but got busy and left it as is. I still like the video, even if it didn’t turn out quite as well as I’d hoped, so thought I’d upload it for you all to see. Don’t forget to comment your thoughts below or on the video!

Thanks for reading and watching guys!
